EXPRESSION OF APOLOGIZING

1. Definition

   Apologize is statement saying that you are sorry for having done wrong, hurt somebody feelings, etc.

2.  Purpose of the expression

For apologizing to somebody if you have a mistake 

3.  When the expression use

To use if you had a mistake with somebody

4.  Example

Example of apologize:

1)      I’m sorry that… [ex. I was so rude yesterday]

2)      It’s my fault. ( I am taking responsibility for the problem)

3)      Oops, sorry. (for very small problems)

4)      I should have… [ex. called you and told you I’d be late]

5)      (formal) I apologize for… [ex. the delay]

Example for responses apologizing:

1)      That’s OK.

2)      It happens.

3)      No problem.

4)      Don’t worry about it.

5)      I forgive you. (for serious problems)

5.  Conversation 

Yuna: I apologize for last night Mom. Cause I can’t come for dinner 

Mom: It’s OK, no problem. We can dinner together if you not busy with your work

Yuna: I should have little meeting with my patient. 

Mom: That’s OK. But next dinner you must treat me OK

Yuna: OK mom
